I’m having the same issue.

I go to the Google One app and try to turn on VPN there but it won’t turn on.

I’m on Pixel 7 Pro.

Same, installed January update and now it won’t connect. “VPN is disabled. Sign in or check your subscription status.”

Same for me. I am on the beta.

In the past days I have sometimes noticed that with internet connected (both Wifi and 5g, or alternatively only one) and the key icon in the status bar indicating the VPN on, the phone would not navigate. It was unlikely that both my 5g and Wifi stopped working so I tried to disable the VPN by tapping on the quick action toggle or through the Google One settings.

They key icon would remain, but the VPN would be disabled and wound not enable again. The only way to solve the issue is to restart my P7P.

There is definitely something not working with the Google One VPN.

Well, it seems to have happened before

Glad others having this issue. I just rooted my phone and thought that was the cause

Same problem here. I am on the latest Beta 2 for QPR 2 and VPN is not working.

Support is not helpful. They say the VPN feature will be rollout in the upcoming days. Totally useless answer…

Same pb since the last beta.

Same. I had a rooted 7 pro and my phone is running December update.

Came here to say I’m having the exact same problem.

Running 7 Pro with the latest beta.

Is the VPN still free on my P7P it’s telling me to upgrade to the premium plan to get my VPN back?

I am on the current beta and using the Google One VPN. As of this morning, the VPN will not stay connected. The VPN will initially connect, but then quickly disconnect.

I’m in the same boat and this is definitely a reoccurring issue. Seems to be something server side as nothing can be done to the Google One app to fix it.

For me, it started more as a location issue - “The VPN service isn’t available in your current location,” (say Hong Kong). If I delete the Google One 1 app and reinstall, the VPN section would disappear in entirety. If I check my membership, upon saying it’s eligible, it says,

"400. That’s an error.

The server cannot process the request because it is malformed. It should not be retried. That’s all we know."

Same here, with pixel 7 on android beta latest update

Same issue here on Pixel 7 update to latest beta version and it.down. previous version was.worling great

On the Beta, uninstall/reinstall of the Google 1 app worked for me.

Same here. Pixel 7 Pro.
I’m on the December security update.
Clearing cache or reinstalling One did not work.
Still waiting for a solution from Google support, they’ve been very kind in their communication so far.
VPN not available anymore in the Benefits page.
Actually, I can’t find it anymore on my phone at all…

I recently got this email from support.

Thank you for being a Google One Member.

I understand you had an issue with the VPN by Google One. I’m sorry to hear that, but I’d be happy to try to help.

Apparently we don’t support the Beta version that you have on your phone which is T2B2.221216.006 and you should update it to TP1A.221105.002.
