Switching from Turkey, a lot of people have said Pakistan doesn’t work unless u have a Pakistani credit card.
How about Egypt?
See list attached
That is as of March 2023. Based on US dollars.

hello from pakistan. i’d advise everyone to avoid subscribing to netflix pak unless you are here or know someone here who can pay for you every month. online banking/fintech market here isn’t mature enough yet to fully allow international transactions (at least not without heavy fee). some fintech apps like sadapay, nayapay, jazzcash allow netflix transactions but you need pakistani id to register to these services. revolut or any of the other international fintech apps don’t work here. the only app that i can think of that might work is wise since they provide pkr accounts (but no idea if virtual cards work with the pkr account). no gift cards either. so for the time being, stick to turkey!
I doubt it. Egypt doesn’t offer gift cards so it will be the same problem as with Pakistan. Doesn’t hurt if someones willing to try tho
This is an awesome chart. Thanks for providing it. I thought India was cheaper than Turkey but glad to see it’s still turkey beating that country. I couldn’t even use a vpn for India because of that new law that requires VPN to register info in India.
Expat living in Egypt here who recently switched from a EU account to an Egyptian one. The payment method has to be registered in Egypt. Debit cards from EU or somewhere else didn’t work.
Hi from Egypt, so Netflix here does not offer gift cards, only payment option is credit or debit or prepaid cards, does the card have to be issued in Egypt like Pakistan? that I do not know, use a vpn and try
To be honest I don’t understand the sudden influx of people posting about other possible countries at the moment. The saving is usually only around a dollar a month and Netflix Turkey is a piece of cake to set up and pay for. Create the account and add a years worth of gift cards. Job done for a year and you know it’ll work. Why are people constantly looking for alternatives at the moment?
I will try Egypt…Disney plus working with revolut, was able to make a payment but looks like only works with vpn, netflix will try later
Why giving up turkey?
Do you need a VPN to setup a turkey account?
Turkey is still the Best because you can easily get Gift Cards for it and never need to even add a bank card
Absolute Legend mate! Appreciate you!
Great post. So I can’t ask my cousin Pakistan to register using my card details (Visa credit card ???)
wise doesn’t work too. i tried
After weeks of trying, yes netflix only allows for fucking EGP Visas only, they also ask for an egyptian phone number after each transaction like changing or updating your cc information. This is a lost case
Mate it’s not that deep. Saves u an extra quid or two (or dollar) a month, if it can be done, why not?
We’re here to save money mate
Not as if we’re going to crazy lengths to do so, just asking if the same method works just for a dif country
Top man! Yeah Disney plus reworking again once u sub again w their new price (Turkey) , as for Netflix yeah try Egypt let us know how or goes bro, you’d try it for 5-8 weeks tbf, cause 4 weeks (30days) is standard region lock
you can try. if the card is locally issued it will work (some banks such as meezan bank block netflix transactions). if it is from another country, it won’t work most of the times. it’s just better if your cousin pays using local payment methods and you transfer the amount to him.
Yeah fair point, I guess my comment doesn’t necessarily apply 100% here as you’ve only asked about options but there seems to be a lot of posts lately that are similar and people are trying to add their own card and it doesn’t work without a local mobile number so they start trying virtual numbers which also don’t work. Then they start signing up for various virtual cards that end up also not working. Then they’re signing up in their own country to be able to add a mobile number and payment method to then switch countries after the first billing cycle is over which also ends up not working. At this point they’ve then paid over the odds compared to a fully working Turkish account that they already had. Long story short, they then go back to a Turkish account with gift cards and have ended up paying more for the one month and now also have a 30 day region lock, or as I have seen with a few, are unable to change back to Turkey as the VPN is recognised and no longer works. I get it’s all about saving money and why not, but I pay 5€ a month each for two accounts that I have have had for over five years now and see people trying to save a euro a month more and end up losing the cheap Turkish rate completely. If it isn’t broke, don’t fix it I say.
