Windows App Installer Stuck

Hello,

I’m just checking to see if anyone else has had this issue. I recently went to update my windows app for Express VPN and it was unable to connect. I uninstalled and have attempted to re-install multiple times but each time after the install when I click “Sign In” it gets stuck at the “Just a moment…” screen. I’m never prompted to click a “yes” to complete the setup.

Has anyone else encountered this? I’ve reported this to Express VPN but the response to my ticket has been less than helpful as I’ve followed all their steps and still am unable to install the app.

These are the steps I’ve attempted already:

In the meantime, please complete any pending Windows updates on your device right now.

After that, please do another clean installation.

  1. Delete the ExpressVPN installer file from your device.
  2. Shut down your Windows device then turn it back on.
  3. Disable any antivirus programs or firewalls.
  4. Download the latest version of ExpressVPN from the ExpressVPN setup page.
  5. Once you’ve downloaded the installer, right-click on the file and click Run as Administrator.

I was able to fully install, but ever since I installed the latest version on windows, I haven’t been able to connect.

I’m having the same problem myself and have been searching for a solution. If you find anything out please let me know!

I was finally able to download and install an older version from their site. 10.36.0.4 was the version

I tried installing an older version, but it asks me to first uninstall the latest release in order to install the older one. My question is if I do that, do I need to log in again, because I’m currently in a country where express VPN’s page is blocked, so I’m afraid I might not be able to log back in if I required to. When upgrading to the latest version I did not need to log in again so it was fine, but I don’t know if uninstalling and installing the older version will work the same way.

Yeah if you uninstall and install the old version you have to sign in again. I dunno if they could maybe re-email you your key so you’d be able to sign in or not.

Thank you for your response. I still have the app on my phone so I could access my key. I logged in the windows app so long ago that I can’t remeber if the log in was via username/pass or key… Did you have to log back in using the key? Cuz maybe that would work.
