What's the difference between WARP+ and Zero Trust?

So apparently, I saw a video where copying the ID from the diagnostic section of 1.1.1.1 app and pasting it to the DNS Sub domain gives you Zero Trust. I tried and it works.

Now I would like to know what’s the difference between the two. Which is better for whom and why?

Warp/warp+ deals only with dns/web requests to populate/categorize traffic. ZTNA is a more robust security platform with more scalability, for example Tunnels/Access and more configurable network policies, and not only web/dns stuff. Zero Trust could easily replace your current security architecture.

I had this exact question and was lucky to see that you posted recently as well. Although my concern was more of security

I configured my zero trust with as blocking. Been working great.

Could you please see this YT Short and explain it to me? I tried it and it worked. I am using WARP+ for free. YT Short

Their UI simply updates if a DoH subdomain is set… That’s the explanation… Your still on the free plan regular version of Warp. Not to mention Warp and Warp+ are 100% independent and separate from Zero Trust. They are literally entirely different with different goals and different customers.

Warp and Warp+ for consumers. Zero Trust for businesses/enterprises and people who self-host homelabs and stuff.

so following this method the OP posted, wouldnt that make me more vulnerable to MitM attacks? Because I am guessing that I am hosting it on my own device and since i probably haven’t configured anything, leaving it more vulnerable? Super confused here

Not quite accurate that they are completely separate things. Zero Trust utilizes WARP+ so anyone using even the free version of Zero Trust will be on the WARP+ network.
