What do the most think of IKEv2 protocol?

For VPN services, I’d much more prefer to use either OpenVPN or Wireguard over IKEv2. Just both being open source and anyone is able to check the code for flaws and audit it, as well as its easy to disable the logging function of both.

However, IKEv2 does work well in the corporate environment though. At work we use it (as well as IPSec) for site-to-site VPNs on the routers and for off-site connections on client computers (which we just use the OS’s built in VPN client). However, there’s one very annoying Windows 10 bug that causes issues in the off-site computers. The bug is when you connect to the VPN from the connections icon on the taskbar (it’s also the area where you connect to WiFi networks at), it will on occasion will just say “connecting” endlessly and never connect to the VPN. However, oddly it will connect just fine if you connect to the VPN from the Settings app. This bug in Windows 10 has created allot of support tickets for us…

It’s the easiest way to connect to a VPN on mobile devices! No need of 3rd party apps. It’s also one the safest protocol out there.
