I have a bit of a janky requirement. I need users to connect to CloudFlare WARP from locations where it may be blocked.
The Mac users are able to connect to an OpenVPN to another nearby region & then establish the WARP VPN over this connection.
When I try this on Windows with the users I cant get the VPN to establish over this new connection.
Obviously I can do this with a separate HW device (ipsec) but I would love to be able to do this within the user environment, if possible.
Has anyone managed to do something similar and get it working?
Connect to warp from the server on which openvpn is installed, why do you need a tunnel in a tunnel
What errors are you getting? Have you checked debug logs?
May also be a routing priority issue since you’re dealing with multiple network adapters.
that could be an option too, i’d not really considered this approach… i am trying not to make it difficult for the team members to work from their machines though.
the tunnel is needed as some of the countries the teams are working from block access to some VPN platforms. in this case warp t cant establish due to being blocked.
i have read tonight that alternate port options may now be available to try and use to connect. I might look down this path further first.
I’ve checked debug, when connecting warp the initial vpn session is dropped & the warp VPNs then cant establish.
Did you set up the VPN yourself? Just out of curiosity, I tried to connect the warp through the wireguard, everything started up with half a kick.
