Virtual Server Location

Hi guys, so I subscribed to a VPN service offering servers in the country (X) I need to pretend I’m connecting from, only to find that the VPN company offers a virtual service location for this country.

My question is: how do I validate that in fact I would appear as if I’m connected from country X? When I go to the web pages that tell me the location of my connection they show the location for the country where the VPN company has the physical server located.

Update: contacted customer support, and supposedly they are aware of the issue and working on it. Will edit the post when I hear back

Update 2: Issue was not resolved, so I cancelled the account. Switched to another provider that offers a proper virtual server in country X

Sites like https://ipleak.net show more information than just the country.

A good VPN with virtual servers should always show the country the server is supposed to be in

Did you end up finding a service that has servers in country X?

So basically I’m screwed? if I try to access the service from outside country X, I’m going to get blocked…
