You’ve probably priced yourself out of widespread adoption

We need private tab with tor on android not these useless vpns

ProtonVPN is free though and it’s just as private. So why Brave VPN? What are the added benefits

We need full Tor support on both Mobile and Desktop, either a private tab or something else.

Thanks for finally releasing this! To clarify, this only works for browser traffic, correct? Once you leave the browser, none of that traffic routed through VPN.

Regardless, I’ll probably test this out for a month or two as I’ve been looking for a simple VPN to use from browser. I heard Brave has been working on allowing us to pay using BAT, would love to see that at some point. Keep it up!

The forcing of the paid service sucks.

When will the Desktop Version finally support the VPN from mobile? (Guardian subscription)

Will I get banned for BAT Ads when I use Brave VPN?
I mean if I use another VPN like Proton, NordVPN etc. my BAT Wallet get flagged for VPN usage.

firefox mobile has it with limited amount of add ons they decided. but i am definitly going to switch to the browser who is gonna let me download every extention i want and not just the ones they have decided

Speeds of ‘up to 100mbps’, not good consider the price.

using the tor feature in brave is a very bad idea though, i think a DNS leak happened twice, and it’s also bad for fingerprinting reasons, its much better to just use normal tor for privacy

You don’t have to download proton

Hi I work for Guardian and was heavily involved in the development and integration. This is a problem we are aware of and as is fixed as of right now. We provide Brave with a list of our servers so that the origin of the connection itself can be taken into consideration in their risk assessment. That is not a guarantee but I wanted to provide a little of context

Getting this right is difficult for sure. There should be a trial period and I would suggest that you give it a try. If you notice any problems please feel free to reach out and our engineering teams will get this resolved.

Due to the staggered rollout I can’t see the update myself yet on my device so please excuse if I got any of these things wrong

kiwi browser can support any extension

you can use every extension with firefox nightly for android

but is Brave VPN free? I heard Microsoft Edge is going to provide free VPN inside the browser, it’s going to be tough to compete with.

Only 1GB/month, I don’t think it’s enough for most people and you also need to sign in to your Microsoft account.

Limited bandwidth and requires a Microsoft account so they will farm your personal information there too.
