I am taking a work assignment in Switzerland and would like to be able to access my streaming services while abroad. From what I understand, streaming services are very aware of VPNs and do their best to block servers. I have also read it is important to turn off locations services before I arrive in Switzerland for the streaming services I intend to use.
I am moving next month so I would like to figure out everything I need to before then. I still do not have a NordVPN account so I am very new to this.
Does it only apply to one device?
Do I need to apply a VPN to each app I use?
I noticed NordVPN has dedicated IPs. Are these a better option?
Will it work on a smart tv?
Are there certain steps I should take before arriving in Switzerland?
I know these are very basic questions but I am not at all familiar with how VPNs work. I am young and fairly tech savvy but just have no idea how this stuff works.

NordVPN uses an App (most cases) so it will only apply to the device that the app is running on.

given the app is on the device that is running the NordVPN app, no… the whole phone is running through the VPN unless you explicitly single out apps to not use it in the NordVPN app
Will it work on a smart tv?
It will wokr on a smart TV given the TV gives you the ability to download the NordVPN app onto it (the smart TV). If does not, there are other ways; such as putting the NordVPN credentials into your router thereby running the whole network through the VPN. Prob with this is it gets a bit technical and not all routers allow you to do this.

Casting is interesting.
if you mirror then no prob, casting might not work cause oftentimes when you cast it is the TVs app that is streaming the show (so no VPN).
Also, Netflix has gotten very good at singling out VPNs … so you might have a try many servers to find one that works, if at all. good luck
Would a dedicated IP through NordVPN work better?
Or a GPS spoofing app?
Not really worth the money.
You can Geo spoof with Nord but some servers might be blocked by Netflix.
