Multiple Issues when Using VPN [recently]

So Spotify has always greyed out songs occasionally when using a VPN, forcing me to close the app and reopen it–but recently I’ve noticed it’s also causing tracks to kind of skip (like if you were listening to a CD and rattled the CD player).

Also, the issue with the songs getting greyed out forcing me to close and reopen the app seems to be happening every few minutes. This behavior has gotten much worse in the past couple weeks.

I use a VPN for privacy (am in the US and use US servers). Anyone know of potential solutions?

Yeah, I’ve also had lots of issues with Spotify over a VPN (I use Mullvad VPN). “Split tunneling” is a method that supposedly allows a single app to bypass the VPN while the rest of your system stays protected, but I’m not having any luck with that either. No real solid solution as yet.
