I’m in Europe playing GW2 on the EU megaserver. When I go on holiday to China, will I be able to play?
Uhhh, dude just enjoy your holiday… but thats rich coming from me. I played during my holiday in Costa Rica, and I’m also EU, so if China isn’t special, it should work

I have been there a couple of times. If you want to enjoy the internet, you will need a VPN 100%. Otherwise no google, no youtube, no news.
I never tried to play guild wars, but steam in general is working fine
Was in China a few months ago, GW2 worked fine.
Steam also worked fine, but the storefront did not.
You should be. The latency might be bad but I don’t belove it shouldn’t be unplayable at least (I am talking about open world, PvP, WvW, fractals and raids are an entirely different thing)
I also have no idea of any potential censorship or regional access/other restriction that China have.
Also if there is a local Asian server then you could transfer a character. But you will need to pay gems or money (can’t remember) to transfer it back
The only two servers GW2 has are EU and NA. China has its own version of the game, but it has some mechanical differences and is maintained by a different team so it isn’t compatible with ours.
i hear the chinese GW2 version is much more p2w
Oh, okay. I only knew of the EU and NA servers but I did assume there was an Asia server as well since there usually are
