How to unblock stuff on a school computer

its the end of the school year and we are allowed to play games on the computers for classes we already took the test for. i know its possible to play fortnight somehow and animal jam, and minecraft to because of x box that they haven’t blocked anyways how *do* you unblock websites i tried everything: copy and translating url, they blocked all of the vpn and proxys and i watched videos they either dont work or they block videos (that i think worked) any other tips? is it even possible at this point!?

Dude just deal with it. You’re a kid in school, schools IT department has things locked down for a reason

heh, I remember setting up a ssh server on a vps with it’s port on 443 then connecting my browser’s sock5 proxy feature to it to tunnel everything over the vps. that got me around any dns and port blocks so I can access what I wanted to. nothing malicious mind you but there was a few things I wanted to still get to. XD

wasn’t hard to pull off. just a vps, putty, and a socks5 configured browser. there’s likely better ways of doing that now but I haven’t looked into it. tailscale with a unrestricted node setup as an end gateway would probably do it.

but really, bypassing school firewalls is a good way to get your privileges revoked if they catch you and care enough to do something about it.

You don’t and shouldn’t. First of all if it’s on school premises using their internet then the school has the ability to simply block any on a firewall level which has nothing to do with your computer. Other than that they can have a proxy service running for that.

Some games might work through let’s say the Xbox app because they are more likely to get the files from the Microsoft services which are a pain to selectively block just for games and it might be able to install games without requiring admin permissions (depends on the game though).

Remember doing this 20 years ago to play flash games. A lot easier back then with just a few setting changes

bro i might have a tip

go to the website you want and backspace everything until its a at the = sign and then type in lockout WITH A SPACE AT THE END then press enter and then press the override button 40 times, refresh the page, go back to the page on a different tab and then boom! its unblocked and if you restart your school computer you will have to do it over again but you’ll get used to it!

its easy. To do this your school needs to have a main and a guest network. 1st you need to connect to the school guest network and click the pop-up that says sign-in. 2nd once it goes to the page where it asked you to sign in. You do the keyboard shortcut Ctrl t (new tab) This will create a new incognito tab where when on this tab you connect back to the main network and you can get everything unblocked

You could try reinstalling the OS (like MattKC did once, project 8-1) but if the IT department is doing their job correctly (unlike Matt’s school) then there is no way to do that except beg the IT department to give you the bios password

Fucking with school tech easily gets you a felony charge, removed all info to minimize the chances of some 12yo copying me even if I didn’t give instructions.

either help or scroll dawg

yea they did that shit to me
now ldk my fucking password cuz they fucking changed it.

I don’t think they’d appreciate it when it’s returned with a freshly installed OS

Could you give me the script? And how to use it? I’m trying to install TF2 but the app keeps blocking
