Hello, is there a VPN that is free, and has Taiwan as a option, since I really want to go onto the Taiwanese Internet. Thanks!
Understand your question because TW Netflix has a much better selection than US Netflix and so on. I think OP didn’t word their meaning clearly though. Idk why they’re getting downvoted
You don’t need VPN to visit websites in other countries.
Free VPN generally don’t allow video streaming. Some lower-tiered paid VPN might not either.
VPN is sometimes needed to buy certain region-restricted services, say buying a kkbox subscription. Once you buy it though, I think you can stream it without vpn (yea very silly…)
I had to use a free vpn to buy digital songs from a Japanese website…
Lmao just adding a .tw on most sites will do that
To access the Taiwanese Internet, like Taiwanese Youtube
You don’t need vpn to do that!!
If you have a youtube account you can set your preference location as Taiwan, then it’ll recommend Taiwanese videos.
I don’t think you need a VPN to access the “Taiwanese internet”:
- Taiwanese use pretty much the same services people in the west use (YouTube, FB, Instagram, Spotify, Netflix, Disney+, etc)
- I’m not sure if a lot of the content on YouTube, for example, has regional blocks. I often send to my friends in Europe and the Americas links to Taiwanese content and they have no problems accessing it
Just set YouTube location preference to Taiwan.
He wants to browse the webpage as if he lives in Taiwan. Most big sites track your location all the time and thus the content you get such as youtube videos differ signifiantly depending on your ip.
The content offered in Netflix, Disney plus, amazon etc (pretty much all streaming services) differs depending on your region. Loads of TV shows I watch on amazon don’t work unless I use my vpn, and I’ve noticed some Taiwanese Netflix shows aren’t available when I’m in the UK. Likewise UK Netflix and US Netflix is different
Incorrect. Netflix and a lot of premium content is area-dependent, there are different shows available in Taiwan vs USA.
