I am in search of a secure VPN service and recently came across Deeper Network. I am curious to know more about how this VPN network operates and what features it offers. Specifically, I would like to know about its speed, ease of use, and security protocols.
If any of you have experience using Deeper Network, I would love to hear about your experience. Did you encounter any issues with speed, reliability, or user-friendliness? Did it successfully enhance the security of your online activities?
I’ve never heard of it. Looks like a tiny project which tries to be both VPN- and Tor-like. The “security” benefit is likely negligible with so few users. I can’t even find a product page, nor does it seem to be on Github, so my suspicion is that it’s closed source. Definitely not ideal for a service ostensibly intended to encrypt connections.
Unless you have reason not to trust your ISP, you don’t need a VPN to tunnel your traffic. One cool project to do is use Docker to spin up a VPN server (Wireguard for example), and connect to that when you’re away to ensure a secure connection and have access to your home network.
Deeper network operates on a decentralized private network. The speeds are dependent on the users sharing their bandwidth, but changing tunnels and locations is streamlined for a great VPN experience.
Have you tried it yourself or do you know someone who had such experiences? please speak with experience and no generalizations
Looks like yet another crypto scam. There’s also no need for additional hardware to do this kind of stuff, if you actually have need of it.
Exactly my thoughts. I’ve been using the Deeper Networks DPN for well over a year, and without issues. Until folks learn exactly what it does, how it works, and the security built in, it’s all speculation and “old wives tales”. Love my Deeper Mini.
