Thanks bro for explaining so if the secret sauce comes to browser bc tor protocol is the same for both tor bowser and brave browser why brave browser does not modify its browser to be as much secure as tor browser which is a modified version of firefox?
Somthing impossible here or brave can’t do it or is it expensive or…?!
Brave with Tor is trash and Tor is The onion Router network
Wow, this is a great explanation!
ISP is also centralized, ISP’s are more likely to sell you out then a VPN, especially a "good VPN provider.
The only movies I see are the ones I make. Everything is just 2nd rate. Can’t compete. Not even a debate.
Why not? I’ve used tor before with no security and I regret it. But never got attacked or tracked to my knowledge. I also feel tor isn’t safe as people say I get mixed feelings. I’ve been using duck duck go
Even no need vpn for brave with tor feature?
Security isn’t the (primary) goal of the Tor browser. It is anonymity. The Tor browser accomplishes this by ensuring that all users have a browser equipped with the same settings, addons, and features.
The fact that everyone using the Tor browser has the same settings makes all users look the same, making individual Tor users indistinguishable from one another. The vast majority of Tor users are using this browser.
Brave does a worse job at anonymity than the Tor browser because there are less users and because it does not enforce consistent settings (please correct me if I’m wrong).
This relates to brave company policies. Brave is an alternative to Chrome. But Tor’s goal is to hide and anonymize users
The truth is that Chromium is easier to use than Firefox in terms of usage. Since Brave is an alternative to Chrome, its main purpose is high speed, easy to use, more safe than Chrome, etc
I’ll ask you: If Brave was exactly a copy of Tor Browser and you were a Tor browser user, would you continue using Tor Browser or switch to an informal alternative?
Your answer is probably this: I would have continued to use Tor Browser. So Brave has to create a unique app so that users are fascinated by it and use it, not a copy
And officially is called TOR when written / typed out
That was the point good luck.
Tor’s main selling point isn’t security, it’s anonymity and avoiding censorship. So if security is what you’re looking for, brave browser is pretty secure. But if you want to browse the internet (relatively) anonymously then you can use tor
Just don’t use tor with brave, ALWAYS use the tor browser when you want to use tor
I guess u taking about digital fingerprinting.
But i guess if protocol is the same like that 3 layer in tor network and both tor browser and brave browser use that so it come to the browser itself.
U also can on and off feature or add ons or extension to the tor browser also like what u do in brave customization.
And im wondering if all comes to the browser itself so brave also can modify itself for using tor like tor browser.
Still i dont know what is special about the tor browser itself beside its network which technically can be used on all browsers.
But i have one guess brave send data to google.
Firefox also but im not sure tor browser do that or not?!
Luck is for the mother fucking Irish and leprechauns. I’m not mother fucking Irish and I’m not a halfling running around looking for pots of gold when I see a rainbow.
I do what the fuck I want, when the fuck I want, where the fuck I want, how the fuck I want and I don’t need any mother fucking luck.
Thanks wanted to get a little better understanding of tor.
So basically, use Brave for personal stuff like facebook, bank and email. But Tor to download the latest episode of the simpsons
Ok cool but tell me it is needed to have vpn on when brave with tor?
While you can change features and addons in the Tor browser, it is not recommended. Changing settings will make your fingerprint unique, making it easier for website to identify you.
The special aspect of the Tor Browser is anonymity. Users look the same and can’t be distinguished from one another. This is how the Tor Browser “fights” against Google and other targeted data collection services. If all users look the same, how can you create targeted ads?
Brave does get the benefit of being more private by routing through the Tor network (hiding your public IP from websites and web activity from your ISP), but websites will have a better chance of identifying you compared to using the Tor browser.
It really depends what you value more. Anonymity and the best form of tracking protection (particularly from advertisers)? Use the Tor Browser. Features exclusive to Brave? Brave with Tor.
