Working with yt_dlp on a large scale

I’ve been working with yt_dlp for a while now, I developed a bot running on AWS.
I’m using proxy server (nornvpn socks5 server) to avoid been blocked but I still get errors from time to time.

How exactly large video AI companies like Opus clip , Munch and Veed are able to download 1000s of videos every day without any issues. Are they using yt_dlp? maybe they have a different approach?

WDYT?

them doing this is probably what caused youtube to start blocking large hosting companies.

Internet enshitening is real.

are you saying their a good chance they are using the same approach or there’s a different way to download youtube videos? what about all those website that offers to downlod youtube video using url? are they using yt_dlp as well?

there was a recent article with some leaks from nvidia which mentioned using yt-dlp.

https://www.reddit.com/r/youtubedl/comments/1ekxalp/nvidias_ytdlp_pipeline/

Slack messages from inside a channel the company set up for the project show employees using an open-source YouTube video downloader called yt-dlp, combined with virtual machines that refresh IP addresses to avoid being blocked by YouTube.

there are other tools, but they can’t get around the youtube block either.

… and now youtubers are suing nvidia.

James Campbell said it best: “The internet is five giant websites, each filled with screenshots of the other four.”
