Wony be renewing the subscription due to lack of physical servers in India

Joined more than 4 years ago, and now won’t be renewing it. There are no physical servers in India, and only virtual servers which don’t pick India language and location correctly. One of them redirects to Singapore server.

I know there were some changes in data storage with govt of India. But I would like to be given an option to choose between physical and virtual servers.

Netflix easily detects VPN, and YouTube and Google’s don’t renew on VPN.

If you expect a physical server or choose a service that provides physical server, be ready for your data to be logged in the VPN server for 5 years. That was the reason companies left India as they would not log things.

With India’s laws, I would never use a VPN with physical servers there.

There can’t be options if you want any kind of privacy. It would go against what Surfshark is saying

What is the alternative beside VPN then?

Yes, but I just need it sometimes to do shopping, pay bills, or sometimes watch some content. If I want to do something shady, I’ll employ some other methods.

I understand, but there can be options. Like a toggle switch if I want to use physical servers. Or actual options like India (virtual), and India (physical), with physical server name written in red with warning before connecting it. Or a surfshark-alt service that logs, I am ready to create another account for india servers.

Vote out Modi. That’s what it all comes down to. You want privacy? Don’t elect authoritarians.

What your looking for is a VPN for privacy that is not private don’t think that’s possible
