Windscribe not working for the Channel 4 app?

Hi, I live outside of the UK but I have a lot of British shows I’m interested in that are available on the Channel 4 app. I checked online before buying the premium plan for windscribe and it said that the VPN works for channel 4 but that’s not happening for me? was that info outdated or am I doing something wrong?

On my Fire Stick, I have to change my Time Zone to British time to get Channel 4 to work.

It should work fine. What device are you using, and are you on our desktop, browser extension, mobile app?

Me, too. So I got a second Fire Stick for my UK and European channels. I can just leave it on British time. It doesn’t affect the other apps.

which device? iOS or Android? And was this for on-demand or live content?

yeah, instead i was using a browser (it works fine there) with a bluetooth mouse lol

Android and it was just an old tv series called celebrity gogglebox that I was wanting to watch, not live content

Try the following:

  • Turn off location services on your device.
    • If on Android, you need to turn off the following as well: Open the Settings app, go to the Location section, then Advanced and here you should see some location settings to enable/disable.
    • Turn OFF the Emergency Location Service as well as the Google Location Accuracy.
  • Switch your device to airplane mode with wifi.
  • Delete the streaming app, restart your device, ensure it is still set to airplane mode with wifi active.
  • Connect to Windscribe and re-install the app.
  • Attempt to stream.
