Most articles say to stream content while in the US from outside the US …use express vpn. When I try pia the vpn is detected and I am blocked . How does express vpn get around this?
While I’ve only used it occasionally for content streaming, normal servers do tend to get blocked. However, selecting any of the “Steaming Optimized” servers tend not to have an issue being blocked.
Why does this look like an ad for a competitor?
I believe kape owns both of those companies. My question is are you reading reviews before or after expressvpn original staff was gutted. There was a famous post from a express VPN longtime employee claiming it was over.

More residential ips I assume
It works fine for me when I’m visiting family in Canada. Just make sure to connect to the “streaming optimized” one, that usually works when the others don’t. I do wish they had an Apple TV app though.
It’s not, I have had PIA for years but frustrated that it does not work for some things like this
I used to have Express but once Kape took over, I immediately jumped ships to NordVPN. Best decision EVER. My roommate is still with Express but almost weekly more bugs and blocks start to come out somehow, so I’m just waiting for the day she does the same.
