So I live in Germany and want to know: what is the best cheapest vpn? I lately read about people getting in trouble and had to pay fines and iam sorta scared (I “pirate” games (50% is abandoned ware but still…) now for about a year and don’t want to get in any trouble (iam just a broke teen who can’t afford games all the time ,hope yall understand🥲)
Germany IS one of those countries where copyright owners come after you, and the fines are hefty.
So be careful.
Just buy Mullvad 1 month for 5€ everytime u want to download something. Also bind the VPN to your torrent client, that’s the most important part.
I use AirVPN which has port forwarding which might be important for torrenting for files with less seeds.
I’ve tried Vypr, CyberGhost, Nord, SurfShark and PIA in the UK. Second tiers, Kaspersky VPN, Cloudflare, AdGuard and Quad9.
Nord, CyberGhost and SurfShark are fast. PIA is half speed but BBC iPlayer likes it. Vypr was awful, but I’ve not been near them for years. My second tiers are known for other things first and tack on a form or similar VPN type service, but aren’t proper VPNs. Some bods just want added protection to stop their ISPs seeing where they’re going.
I’d suggest signing up for the free trial/30 day moneyback options to see what works best on your setup, where you are.
Mullvad doesn’t store any of your info. You can even pay cash if you want, by mailing them 5€/month.
PIA, AirVPN and proton are the ones that you can do the port forwarding to torrent with no problem, pia and airvpn are the cheapest and are quite good.
For airvpn use wireguard as their own program is bad.
For proton you have to change the port every time as its not static.
Mullvad is great but they dropped port forwarding support
Windscribe plan for 3 years at 70 dollars.
Just use proton tbh around 7 or 8£ you should get the full package
Mail vpn storage etc if u only want vpn its should b around £4 idk
My go to is still Windscribe pro during BF/CM deals (right now) gets you port forwarding which is good for torrents but it’s ephemeral so you have to get a new port every week on the website.
Mullvad is pay as you go, no need to get locked into a subscription.
ProtonVPN is so good for me, and free too.
Private Internet Access…. Proven NO LOGS… also ones with port forwarding, unlimited devices, fast servers and the most affordable vpn I have found yet.
I can really recommend to check this spreadsheet out if anyone is looking for a good VPN to use!
Proton is good but the free version doesn’t let you torrent.
Which of these VPNs is safe for downloading torrent files?
