What does AdGuard Pro + AdGuard VPN do that AGP (in native mode) + 1.1.1.1 can’t?

I’ve already purchased AGP on iOS and am fine with it blocking ads via the VPN method. However I wanted to delve into the VPN side of things and of course the VPN works well AGP and not well with other VPN clients.

However with the new version I’m able to use native mode which is interesting as I’m to use something like 1.1.1.1 for free.

I’m debating the yearly cost to be able to use the extra blocklists via the VPN method as I use the oisd lists compared to the free option using 1.1.1.1

If you are talkinh about the Native Encrypted DNS, it wont work when you have a VPN. The VPN’s DNS will be the one to be used.

That’s not true, with the current AGP, you can do this: https://adguard.com/en/blog/encrypted-dns-ios-14.html but natively in the app instead of via a profile like explained in that link, like this.

You can select it, but have you tried doing a dns check if its using adGuard and not the VPN’s DNS? By the design, even if you select AdGuard Pro in the DNs settings, as long as you are connected to a VPN, the VPNs DNS will be used. Check AdGuard Test Page or DNSLeak.

VPN DNS will be priority. Next is OS DNS.
