VPN client on AWS workspace?

Just wondering can I install and enable VPN (like Cisco anyconnect or F-Secure Freedome) to AWS workspace and still connect to it with client? Or do those “share” internet connection and I loose ability to connect it from any other network than VPN?

It should work just ensure nacls and sg allow for vpn out.

There’s not much special about the VM itself in WorkSpaces, you can do whatever you want.

Does this mean that I can get surfshark for example, and still be able to connect normally to Amazon Workplaces?

Great thx! Those should and if not I can adjust them.

Ok. I was just wondering if I lose access to it as it opens VPN tunnel example to corporate network. But I think I need not to overthink and reset my mind and tought client as console access… like in VMWare.

The WorkSpaces client goes through an AWS controlled network so your connection won’t be affected at all. All of the other traffic to and from the VM goes through your VPC.
