I’m having major issues connecting to the internet thru a VPN while tethered to my phones hotspot and I can’t figure out why.
I cannot access Reddit at all, and another sports streaming site doesn’t work very well. When I’m connected to my home network thru my VPN, or tethered without VPN, I have no problem with these (other than geolocking issues).
What gives?
Yeah i use tuxlervpn alot and the residential connections break the ability to view sites and tells me about child safety and laws in teh country and tons of things that… just arent true for america.
hello. i can see why your hotspot doesnt allow you to access the sites that you want. the sites are blocked because you are not really connected to your VPN. sharing a device’s internet through Hotspot doesnt share that device’s VPN connection. it would be just as you are connected to the internet without a VPN. so if you want the VPN access you install the VPN software on that particular device and login with your credentials to access VPN. sharing Hotspot only gives you access to the internet. VPN softwares are available for all platforms like Windows, Linux, Apple and even Android. find the software that you need and login.
