I have spent the last few days looking up and trying to setup and use this UU Booster on my PC, as I would like to have a more stable connection to play with my friends in Europe. No luck…
The apps, both on my PC and on my phone, is entirely in chinese and I have little to no idea how to properly use it.
I paid for the international monthly subscription at $7.99, but it doesn’t seem to change anything. Still getting kicked out of games for connection errors.
I have also bought an RT-AX86U Pro router since apparently it’s best to have a good router to use with UU Booster but, once again, I have no clue on how to set it up on the router, and I have not found on this reddit or anywhere else any tutorials or explanations on how to do so.
It’s a bit baffling, really. Must have missed something.
Oh, and I also have the Astrill VPN.
Thus, I would like to know if anyone knowledgeable about this subject could provide me with some help and explanations ? It would be very much appreciated !
Download the PC app and take photos using WeChat translate to guide you if needed. You just have to upload photos of your passport, wait for verification, then pay for a subscription using a WeChat QR code (or similar) when prompted. If you try to connect to any game, it will give you a prompt to pay so that part is easy. It might take you a few minutes of translating but it’s not too complicated!
If you’re using it on PC you dont need the booster.
You need to download the app on the pc itself and log in. Do you have access to a Chinese ID number? as you need that to be able to use it. Or you did when I signed up.
Once you’ve logged in you just choose the server on the pc app and connect.
You don’t need the physical uu box for pc gaming. Just download app and turn it on, similar to Astrill. I bought the Chinese server one, it does speed up the connection quite considerably. I can even run xbox cloud gaming reasonably well.
Also, there’s a button on the mobile app that can install an applet to your router (I also have the asus router). This means your router will function the same as the physical uu box. You can choose the devices connected to your router and speed them up (again you have to activate this like Astrill when you want to game).
are you still having same issue? I was in your situation before but now everything is good, first you shouldnt have bought the international version as international version is for chinese who live abroad and want to play on chinese servers, if you still struggle let me know and i will type down how to play with 116 ping in europe servers.
