I know it may sound provocative, but it’s not. I’m definitely not a hater; in fact, I’m asking this question because, after reading customer reviews and considering its performance and features, I’m genuinely interested in AirVPN. However, I wonder why such a reliable service has such an outdated UI that looks like it’s made for Windows 98, and the lack of an iPhone app.
It seems to me that it’s one of the best VPNs with one of the worst UIs, and I’m a bit hesitant because of that; I know that performance is much more important than graphics, though this is a major drawback for me and many others, from what I’ve read here on Reddit.
So I wonder:
-
Is there a specific reason for this? Perhaps a technical or functional reason that I’m missing?
-
Is it “simply” an economic issue? If that’s the case, then why does practically all the competition, both big and small, have better designs?
-
Is there a substantial UI upgrade planned in the near future?
