UDM-Pro trying to create a Wireguard VPN but I can’t delete the old vpn. There is no create VPN button??

Using Wireguard on the SE, so can confirm it works fine. I left L2TP setup there disabled in case WG gave me any trouble but it has been flawless for weeks.
I don’t want to use an L2TP. I want to use wireguard. Is this possible?
While WireGuard isn’t available on the Pro yet, to delete a VPN, from the VPN & Teleport page (that lists the VPNs), click “Manage” on the bottom right of the list of VPNs you have configured. Then check the checkbox next to the VPN server you want to delete, and then click “Delete” in the bottom left.
I’ve noticed this on a few UniFi menus in the new layout, if you’ve gone to the page to configure the thing, you’ve gone too far to delete the thing. (Though, interestingly, a few things actually do let you delete from the edit pages…)
How did you set it up
Currently not possible within the official network application. There are some workarounds but requires you to manually install wireguard through the cli.
If you are handy it is possible to install WG on the UDM Pro.
You can find very good instructions on the internet, about how to install it.
I run WG now for more than a year on my UDMP.
It was really easy for me. Download client on your mobile or laptop then configure on UDM.

I believe it’s also a workaround for the SE! I’m not too current on this but believe there was a request to Ubiquiti to add official support like 3 years ago, but who knows when it’ll actually happen.

I haven’t had issues with it, to ssh into the console there’s a ssh config property you have to change as well cus it uses old hashing algo if I remember right I can check mine if you’d liked

It’s in the works at least. I’ve heard of people using it on the SE, it might be EA software.
The teleport option uses wireguard under the hood and that is available on the UDMP.
Oh yeah, I for sure struggled before finding out I had to pass a flag to the ssh command. Had to manually configure a site to site strongswan connection on the udm pro once and also suffered a little with how they organized everything and named files. Good old Ubiquiti
Oh I had no idea what tech it used under the hood. Makes sense! Hopefully the 2.0 update brings some cool new features we’ve been waiting and asking for!
