Has anyone found these yet? I ended up getting them through Kroger Delivery (which by the way, is awesome. I am in Florida and not only do they have 1 day delivery for me, but they also have ability to ship refrigerated and frozen foods. Delivery is only $2.95) Delivery can be up to $5 or $7 if you choose something in middle of day, but anytime between 8-10 pm is under $3)
Ok yeah….aside from that, these are pretty good. I haven’t had Toaster Strudels in a really long time, and it’s been 2 decades since I ate them religiously, but pretty certain they are similar to these. I know they say they have a donut texture, but the difference is minimal (most probably wouldn’t even notice it). However, with that being said, I enjoyed them. If you put them side by side next to an actual toaster strudel, I don’t think I would be able to tell the difference (they would have to be same flavor and same frosting obviously) but I think this is a classic example of a rebranding of a product to invigorate interest.
Side Note, and I am going off the top of my head, but Pillsbury actually released something a while back that was similar to this hybrid strudel/doughnut combo. I think the flavor was different but I think the texture was more towards an actual doughnut. Didn’t want to cheat and use Google, but I do remember seeing something online when I googled how to use oven (no toaster currently) and images from a while back started to pop up about a very similar product released by Pillsbury.
Oh yeah, living in Florida I don’t have a Korger near by. I don’t even have one in the state, so to get Kroger exclusive items delivered to my front door in under 2 days is pretty cool if you ask me. Someone told me one of the reasons Kroger gets so many exclusive items and gets many items first is they own a lot of the other brands and stores.
I also tried the Boston Cream variant and they also have a sprinkle doughnut one as well, but I didn’t get it because I already have so many snacks and other food items I need to try. Have a good night ya’ll.
