Gotcha. I was afraid of that. I had the ExpressVPN router in my cart on Amazon so looks like I’ll be getting that for my spectrum internet then 
Ima do that:) thankfully there’s the ExpressVPN router I can get that’ll work with the spectrum modem
Haven’t seen an ExpressVPN specific router but most recent (last 3-5 years) ASUS routers support OpenVPN and ExpressVPN seems to have a guide for using them.
It looks like they support some Linksys and Netgear models too according to their website.
Hopefully you’re not buying a cheap or old router on Amazon that is being marked up as compatible with ExpressVPN.
