Sign-up problem

I tried register my free tier account but after even successfully adding credit card when i pressed “start free trial” this error showed up:

“We’re unable to complete your sign up. Common sign up errors are due to: (a) Using prepaid cards. Oracle only accepts credit card and debit cards (b) Intentionally or unintentionally masking one’s location or identity (c) Entering incomplete or inaccurate account details. Please try again if this applies to you. Otherwise, contact Oracle Customer Service.”

Also after some googling i noticed that it is common problem, but didn’t really found solution

(I used my gmail.com account and my real phone number, no VPN)

Do someone know how to solve that? Can problem be that my name is different than card owner’s name?


EDIT: I fixed this by emailing them with all details possible, and i needed to send multiple emails until i got actual response from human and not just bot.

Take this as an omen that will foreshadow the difficulties you will face in the future with OCI.

Better to walk away now before you put your workloads in their
infrastructure and then suddenly have them deleted by OCI for no reason.

I even got:

we will set up your account in 15 minutes, but the account was not set up, then I tried again and got this message, i created the ticket, but weird that is said account will be created and then changes it’s mind.

You need to contact them on their email [email protected]

Make sure you contact them from the same email id which you used for singup.

Explain them everything. They’ll reply you on mail and then only you’ll be able to signup

The same issue on multiple cards, phone numbers. Sent them an email and the autoreponder said they will respond in 24 hours. Nothing yet. It’s way past 24 hours.

The last time I tried it’s hanging after clicking on “Start my free trial”.

Oracle has gotta be a lot better than this. I am shocked!

The address you give them and the address on your bank have to match EXACTLY line-by-line, word-for-word, letter-for-letter.

Looks like they are comparing as a check, and if they don’t match; it will give you that error.

When I fixed this issue, worked straight away; no problem.

what about a b c after credit card purchase

Can you provide the correct email address you used to complaining about registration issue? I have register two times and it has cost my credit card two times and I’m not aware of it

They also say they won’t charge money but they charged me all 3 times when i tried to sign up and never refunded the money. I couldn’t even sign up. Dissappointing

I have the same problem, someone found a faster solution?

I have tried to email them about same issue 2-3 time and they say we can’t help
I used real address and everything
But my name doesn’t have any last or middle name inthink that might be the issue

Same. I still haven’t heard back from them after waiting 2 days. I’m giving up on trying OCI Free Tier. What a joke.

Oh I’ve got response on my second email what i sent, they said that they made some changes and I should try register again within 5 days

Well they took like 3 days to respond in my case, but I wrote that email during weekend + there was some no-working day in the US.
