Hello everyone,
Been on about prepping for the exam. Started on 25th July, got done with Dion’s Udemy SY-701 course, bought his practice set 2. Scored 83, 80, 83, 83, 75, 77. Also practiced a LOT of questions from the Comptia Sec+ Mobile App, did its practice exams and scoring mid 70’s in them. I really don’t have more money to buy Professor Messer’s exams now. So only advice I need from you guys is some kind of tips to help ace the exam.
I would also like to know anything that would help me in PBQ’s as I have absolutely no idea on how i would take them on. This is my first Comptia certification so I don’t wanna fail on the first attempt. (would shatter my confidence lol)
PS : Good luck to everyone taking the exam in this week or soon.
You’re on the right track. Use exam compass for free practice questions as well. Use chat gpt and ask it to help you understand things you’re struggling with.
Watch cyberkraft on YouTube to prepare for the PBQs.
Be familiar with different cyber attacks like Rootkits, Trojans, and Ddos attacks and know how to prevent those attacks.
A lot of people are getting a performance space question that has to do with configuring a VPN concentrator. Messer has videos on this.
I passed on Saturday! I wish you the best.
If you finished Jason Dion’s course and have taken that many practice exams, I would say you’re ready!
Take a day off from studying and do a quick review a few hours prior or maybe the night before the exam. You got this!
If you have the time, consider watching Pete Zerger / Inside Cloud and Security’s 5 domain rollup videos. He goes through everything on the official list line-for-line in a way that’s a bit different than other instructors. May or may not be your cup of tea, but I’ve found his different take and straightforward presentation style to be very helpful.
Also, re your last non-PS line - you’ve already invested the time, money, and energy into your personal success. No sane person wants to fail here, but no matter what, view this more like a path you keep hiking down, even if you trip. Your investment will pay off long term if you persevere. Good luck!
Thankyou for all your advices guys. I passed.
Good advice, and also, congrats!
Yes, while doing the exam, i thought for sure i’ll fail lol, it was a tad confusing, clicked submit just to see 767/900… the releif.
