I’ve encountered an issue with the Brazilian servers, and I’d like to share my experience and ask for guidance.
Currently, multiple websites and services in Brazil block IPs associated with ASN (AS) 9009, which is used by Proton VPN on several Brazilian servers. Unfortunately, this includes critical services like my university’s e-learning (distance education) platform.
To work around this issue, I’ve had to:
- Manually connect to different Brazilian servers until I find one that assigns an IP address not from ASN 9009 (usually from ASN 212238, which works fine).
- Alternatively, connect to servers outside Brazil, which results in increased latency and makes using the “Fastest” profile impractical for everyday use.
My question is: Is it possible to configure Proton VPN to prioritize IPs from ASN 212238 on Brazilian servers or provide an option to avoid IPs from ASN 9009 altogether?
