Whole podium has already signed WWT contracts for the next few years, and according to Sporza Fee Knaven has signed with EF Education (though I wouldn’t be too surprised if Ruben confused her with her sister Mirre), and 7th place Ostiz is going to Movistar in 2026. So that’s half the top 10 (+ Celia Gery) turning pro.

im not really watching the stream (just having in in the background), but I think i heard that one of the Para guys (the favorite?) is 49 years old and has participated in the paralympics since the 90s? wow

Was going to say it looks like this world championship is the first time everyone does the ITT on a TT bike, but then Turkey just had a rider start on a road bike with a flappy jersey.

We dont even send our NC… Ida Dam Fialla won as a 15 year old (she is 16 now) with 1:45 to Alma and 2:06 to Mathilde on a 26km TT with 43km/h average speed

Nothum off pretty early and then Chladonova soon after! Should be big times coming up

Burenkova’s T1 time holding against Nothum! (though I must say Nothums EC TT surprised me, so maybe that was just a mega day for her)

Looks like this might be a close one. Unless the last few riders are just going to blast over that top time like Brown and Evenepoel did.

Was trying to see if Chladonova slowed down in the second half or if that was just Nothum speeding up

Chladonovas time gain against riders

Opp 1st Half 2nd Half
Nothum 44s 13s
Yelkina 31s 27s
Rawlinson 19s 34s
Cusack 26s 14s
Muller 27s 20s

(second handful of seconds longer)

Looks like she may indeed have had a stronger first half. So should be god news for riders who are around her time in the first split.

Dang Ferguson smashing Knavens T1 with 9 seconds… madness

Chladoňová probably getting a bronze medal

With Swierenga and Arens 07s so no expectations that only leaves Aasebø (surely has a Uno-X offer? depending on mtb stuff I guess), Bates (Jayco [Dev]?) and Bräutigam without official news for next year.

Amber Neben, also 49, did a similar thing in the elite women’s ITT. Been finishing in the top 10 since 2005.

I don’t have a good stream/access to this race but para athletics can be so darn impressive. Ever seen basketball? Just wow

Yusuf Dikec too inspirational

Turkey part of the Anti-TT bikes in junior racing gang

Can’t send U17 riders, we’ll see next year

tacos aren’t a spanish food though? they’re mexican

I mean Ferguson should definitely win this as last starter so yeah kind of exactly like the Men’s and Women’s elite

edit: Gery starting just now reminded me she probably also should challenge

9s is a smaller gap than I would have thought, not really madness
