Question about IPTV Throttling

Has anyone had iptv throttling with AT&T Fiber or not? Do you have to use a VPN to get around it? Charter Spectrum doesn’t throttle iptv services. Please and thank you for your time and thoughts.

I never watch IPTV without having a VPN on. I have no problems with IPTV streaming. Currently using SurfShark, but have used ExpressVPN and IPVanish successfully as well.

Also they throttle mlb.tv as well. My wife and both had the same results on both streaming boxes in different rooms as everything is Ethernet connected. Issue goes away when vpn is turned on as soon as you turn it off the buffering/throttling happens. All options in att gateway disabled. As soon as you power down the att gateway and plug back in spectrum modem and power everything works with no issues with no vpn needed.

A IPTV service like YouTube TV, but several ones they throttle in the late afternoon, at night on weekends and during weekends day and night. Issue even happens on paramount plus which that service needs to cut out the large numbers of ads with less ad breaks as that is a different issue. VPN seems to fix the issue on AT&T Fiber as issue doesn’t happen on Charter Spectrum at all as a VPN isn’t needed.

When a service is offering you IPTV the service stealing it

I’m intrigued, IPTV as in streaming, or like tubi amd youtube TV? Why are they throttling any of it? Because it competes with there DTV service? They’re not gunna say it’s to stop congestion are they?! I guess for DSL areas, but for fiber?! Come on…

Are you using Active armor? If so turn it off and always use a vpn.

No, sure not, it’s disabled.
