Pornhub Is Now Blocked In Almost All of the U.S. South

Pornhub’s biggest audience is the south. 
If the idea behind all of the bodily autonomy laws is to produce more babies, then maybe other draconian laws are as well. Do these idiots think restricting porn will force men to be more sexually active with women? Having come from a culture like that, I think it’s possible.

I’m disheartened that 2/3 of this nation’s reaction to Roe being overturned was to either not vote or vote for Trump. It’s hard to imagine enough of us give a shit to actually fight back.
In Canada we passed a pretty heinous bill called C-18 - a “link tax.” It means that companies can allow users to post “fake news” (disinformation), but must pay a tax if a user posts a link to real news (ie. the CBC).
As a result, Facebook (for example) actually banned the posting of real news. If you try to link to a real Canadian news story on CBC, CTV, etc., it’ll be removed. You can, however, post as much fake news as you want. That’s not blocked, because it’s not subject to taxation.
This had a pretty predictable outcome.
I’m curious to see what’ll happen to today’s youth who end up on rather sketchy, unregulated porn sites as they’re cut off from the legitimate / regulated ones.
Will we see yet more rise in sexual dysfunction, violent tendencies, and other extremely harmful behavior?
It certainly fits with the rest of religious / far right’s twisted lack of morals, but as always it’s surprising how many people fall for it.

1)I think people need to stop assuming “lol republicans are stupid”. Calling them “stupid” implies ignorance that isn’t willful. When the same people you know who fervently supported laws like the “three strikes” law in California for felons, as well as the same people who justify thinking in prejudice based on supposed “patterns of behavior” are the same ones who change their profiles to call themselves *“libertarian”, “centrist”, “other”, or anything but GOP because they know it’s associated with christian nationalism and white supremacy, it’s deliberate behavior at that point, not ignorance.
- The push to have “more babies” is based on two beliefs of theirs:
a)If there are more brown people, they will treat us white people the same way we treated them
b)Interethnic marriage is a jewish plot coupled with (a) to take power away from white people?
This absurd shit was in the manifesto of the Buffalo white supremacist shooter; these people actually believe in this, or at least parts of it, especially after known bigot Elon Musk endorsed the thinking . If we know an ancilary of white supremacy(which is just as much about shitting on any of us who aren’t rich despite being white as it is brown people and other marginalized folks) is misogyny, would a group that’s stupid also just so happen to do things like:
-call for nationwide “no-fault” divorce
-Block women’s healthcare around pregnancy
-Remove sex ed from schools(let alone limit education!)
-Force people to buy condoms over the counter in places like Wal-Mart
…etc, etc, etc. These people intentionally want an undereducated source of labor to exploit, and they don’t care if it’s through H1B1 exploitation or having women pop out undereducated children, wheather they like it or not. As one of Trump’s buddies said, “Your Body, My Choice” - are these the words of someone who made a little oopsy-doodle and who just doesn’t understand all of the fuss over having children?

I am not sure what this has to do with the lack of contraception or no access to abortion. I’m sure I will get some kind of convoluted explanation though. Porn is connected to human trafficking and sex trafficking and I don’t see it as any great loss if internet porn is regulated.
Gosh, it’s too bad Pornhub is the only place anyone can see that stuff…
