UPDATE: Thank you for your patience. It looks like this issue is resolved. We had a hiccup with an authorisation API, so any new connection requests were being rejected.
No impact to anyone who already connected to the VPN.
We’re working to assess the root cause of this blip so if you’re still facing connection issues please detail them below!
We’re aware of a connection issue currently impacting our users. We’re investigating and will report back as soon as possible!

Linux, using OpenVPN.
AUTH: Received control message: AUTH_FAILED
So far I have been able to connect to servers in both Wireguard and OpenVPN… so far so good… restarted my windows 11 laptop and all is good.
Windows 10. Same error regardless which server I select
I’ve finally been able to connect, but it’s SUPER slow
I cannot connect on either Windows 11 or my Ubuntu Server machine running PIA in a Gluetun container.
Windows error: Connection refused.
Gluetun error: ***As I was typing this, I went to my terminal to get the error code, and it had connected, and I can’t access the original error.
Windows is connecting too now.
Win10, US, connection refused, already tried reinstalling the app
Windows 10. Logged in to PIA account on their website. Click download. Get the latest file. Install it without deleting existing installation. It is working for me now.
Just came back up for me.
Getting AUTH_FAILED in logs. Running in Gluetun on Synology Docker using OpenVPN.
Edit — Back up now!
macOS Sequoia - App shows connected to VPN but browsing to whatsmyip shows my home IP. Be careful out there folks.
UPDATE: system restart has corrected the issue
Connection refused, Windows 11. OK on Android phone.
While you’re at it, could you please fix the frequent and random disconnects of your browser extensions also?!

I’m still getting an error. Message is “We couldn’t establish the connection to the VPN server”. Uninstalling and Reinstalling did not make a difference.
It resolved for me yesterday, but restarting my container this morning reproduced an error. Down now for +12h
“WARN [openvpn] TLS Error: TLS key negotiation failed to occur within 60 seconds”
System:
- Synology Docker - Gluetun
- SERVER_REGIONS=Netherlands
I can connect and ping outside but nothing will resolve when connected. I cannot get DNS to work and I have tried using other DNS servers in the app settings and nothing seems to work. I was going to turn of DNS guarding but the setting doesn’t seem to be there anymore.

Are there other android versions available. Msg: YOUR DEVICE ISN’T COMPATIBLE WITH THIS VERSION.
Uninstall and reinstall the App that should work.
