Is there any permanently free VPN that we can use in order to make GPay run on our watches? I’m from India, we don’t have GPay working here.
All the VPN apps are charging around $80 dollars per year, which is a lot for me.
OR
Is there a way to keep a free vpn running on my phone without it getting disconnected every now n then? Please help!
I’m from Brazil and here it works on smartphones but not on smartwatches… I downloaded an app called Windscribe (10GB for free) and now my TicWatch works like a charm…
I installed it on the phone and Ive set it up to only work for the wear os app…check it out it might work for you too.
you need the app “permanent proxy” . install it on you phone, then go into the playstore on your watch and install it via “install from phone”. then search online for a free proxy ip address from a land you want to and bam, 5min later the app is showing up.

here are some instructions. i live in austria and in germany it would work but not here, i set a german proxy on the watch and it works now

Why would you need gpay if is not avalaible on your country?
Hey, after doing everything, the gpay app never appears on my phone. It shows in the NFC settings though but the app never appears.
Any idea how to fix it?
Thanks a lot for replying, buddy. I’ll try it
Hey, I followed the process and added a proxy in the watch app. But the internet doesn’t connect. Tried this with different proxy addresses.
Any idea where I’m going wrong?
To be able to do wireless payments from my watch, just by tapping on their nfc card machines
You have to activate it via Play Store…
-
On your phone activate Windscribe;
-
On your watch go to Play Store and find GPay;
-
Activate GPay and use it;
most likely most of the addresse dont work, but some do, you should be seein if it works within about 10sec or so (by displaying that you got an external ip), just try more of them, some will work, (had the same problem)
Dont they need to be Gpay enable? Im not knowledge enought in gpay, but i thought the terminal needs to be able to acept gpay not just be a nfc reader
Thanks for replying.
Windscribe is permanently on.
Checked ip on watch using browser, I’ve put switzerland.
In settings>connectivity>nfc - it shows scan n pay through gpay option enabled
In accessibility, it shows pay enabler option now.
But still goay app shows incompatible for my watch. Using oppo watch based on wearos.
Nope it just need NFC reader. But your bank card have to support Google pay. But if you order some online bank card like N26 you can use Google pay anywhere…
In many countries, gpay is supported on phones but not on wear os. But if you are redirecting the data stream to a country where gpay on wear os is supported (VPN) then gpay should work.
*I’m from Czech Republic and I have the same problem.
Don’t know what else you could do…I use on TicWatch Pro 2020 and it works fine (using Windscribe Miami Vice).
Are you sure GPay is available for wear os in Switzerland? Try changing the region…it might work.
Thank for the info! I live in mexico and nfc terminals are really rare in my city. So i dont even tried to make it work. Samsung pay for some reason itsbway more comon here and ut looks like it works on any tipe of terminal even if they are not nfc.
Google needs to get their shit together why do they let tvis happen.
Samsung pay have different protocol then Google pay. But I think they will remove that with new phones. NFC readers rules and they are cheap and secure for now
It’s horrible. Google is probably trying to upset everyone. Various geological blockages, etc. For example: android auto in the Czech Republic. it is not supported despite the fact that it has been in the Czech language for 1.5 years.
I like android and wear os and other google products but sometimes I don’t understand what they are trying to do.
