Mullvad removed the ability to port forward over VPN, i.e. torrenting over VPN will be annoying:
10% off through crypto if you didn’t know. Pay with Monero and stay private. That’s the only discount offered that I’m aware of.
I used Proton and loved it. Port forwarding is a must.
Get a vpn that has port forwarding. This one does not.
No desktop application as far as I know. Gotta use the command line I think
That’s what I use mine for.
A nice docker container with the client and VPN all set up.
Yeah I got 3 years of NordVPN for free, but with the cash back site it can take over a month to get the money back.
You can also keep an eye on rakuten. In May, I caught nord when it had 90% cashback. So their standard rate of $100 for two years turned into $10 for 2 years after cashback.
I get a rough equivalent of this offer every 3 years during renewal. I decline the offer and then get a slightly better counter offer after (I paid $106.33 earlier this year).
which websites
proton app works on linux now? or are you using static profile?
Out of curiosity, how does port forwarding work with download “Linux ISOs”?
I still wouldn’t use Norton if it was free.
Yes. Cashback is super high on VPN. Even the lowest are 40% cashback.
Rakuten or Topcashback are what I’ve used. I’ve gotten 2-3 year long subscriptions to Nord, PIA and Surfshark for 100-105% cash back rates through these and I’ve been doing that for years.
Rates will always vary, in my experience the best rates start around Black Friday and last through the holiday season.
You can track cash back history for Nord here: https://www.cashbackmonitor.com/cashback-store/nordvpn/best-rate-history/
I got nord for 90% cashback from rakuten in may.
What exactly are they good at and what are they for?
Honest question.
No I’m downloading my Linux isos on Windows through Proton
Yes, it does. On mint anyway. They used to have a weird commandline app that worked fine but was kind of half baked, but they they have a pretty comparable app to others I’ve used now. I haven’t used it much because I only tried it out with one of the free accounts.
Yeah, ublock origin with Microsoft defender is pretty much all most people need. Both are free.
