Not getting Advanced Voice in places like Norway, due to regulations?

Any way to work around this? I see that the app has updated, and a hint of the new UI is displayed a moment before booting up the app. However, advanced voice isn’t available, and a quick read online, tells me that EU laws won’t let us have it, for now. Which is quite sad if that’s true.

Is there any way to bypass this? If through VPN?

Yes, a VPN set to the US will let you access it.

Worked with private internet access earlier for me. On iOS I find I need to kill/reopen the app to get it it kick in. I selected New York as the ping was lowest.

I got it right now after using PIA VPN to USA from Finland.

Im from norway and i had the advanced more for about a day but not access to the new voices and the “full” version, now when i go in its back to the normal one, getting message about that its rolling out. So they somehow recinded the access to it and took it back… I hope they can update the AI act, i really want to play around with it

Edit: tried VPN, and chatgpt thinks I don’t have internet access now. Even though everything else works.

Bei mir ging es zu Anfang mit Proton VPN. Nun aber ist bei mir nur noch das Kopfhörer Symbol an der Stelle zu sehen, wo man die Spracheingabe aktiviert und nicht das neue Symbol.
Auch bekomme ich den Hinweis “der fortgeschrittene Audiomodus ist in arbeit” angezeigt.
Geht es bei dir weiterhin?

Thanks for the heads up, got it working as well! Fun toy to play around with at this point. Not sure what much actual use it will be unless I can also use it as a personal assistant or something and have it go through my emails and reply to certain ones, etc, but having to use a VPN would make it too much of a hassle :sweat_smile:

sers . Ja läuft alles perfekt . Proton ging bei mir heute überhaupt nicht . Ich hab mich zuerst mit dem hide me vpn auf einem US Server gemeldet , dann Chat gpt (Android) Stopp erzwungen &Cache gelöscht . Dann gings direkt .

Aber am Anfang dummen Fehler gemacht . Aus Versehen UK statt US gewählt …

und zu den Symbolen … die switchen heute bei mir ständig hin und her im minuten takt . schreib mir wenn du mehr wissen willst
