Not changing location?

i’m using this vpn on my phone, to change some gaming location stuff, but it doesnt work on safari(iphone browser) doesnt work on google maps either, as its saying im still home. in the express vpn app, it says connected and to philipines. does anyone know if nord vpn has this problem? if not i might switch

edit: if also says im in the united kingdoms?:sob:im in australia, and the app says im supposed to be in the philipines

I set my vpn to japan but when i open youtube, i was located in great britain.

Please note that Google has its own system for how it handles the geolocation of a particular IP address and there is little we can do to affect the result. However, we can check a couple of things and see if we can work around this problem.
Let’s change the browser settings on your device to ensure that Google will redirect to your desired region. Please also follow the appropriate instructions based on the device you are using:
For iOS:

  1. On your iPhone or iPad, open your Google app.
  2. At the top right, tap your Profile picture or initial > Settings > General > Search settings.
  3. Under Region for Search
    Results, choose a region. If you don’t find a region, the feature isn’t available for that location.
  4. Tap Save.

you can use an ip checker after this to see if it works!

Weird that i had to change region, i had no problem in other vpns

not sure if this is only for mobile :person_shrugging: but if it worked then i guess i wont mind. keep in mind that when checking if ip is correct you use ip checkers from express vpn or nord vpn, because when i checked with some sketchy website it put a different address and when i did the same with another sketchy website it said ANOTHER different adress.
