nearly 99% of subscriptions are renewals… and they obviously charge you and if you let it extend ofc they wont refund you thats basics of contracts not only at nord vpn any company.

1 minute past cancelation of your Phone contract ? obviously extended and stuff.

So you didn’t keep track of the day or read the terms and are now getting mad at the company?

tl;dr: terrible customer service, they really wanna keep my 15eur. Tried to steal another 15eur from me.

Context: I signed up for a month to tryout their services with the intention of asking for a refund if I don’t want to continue.
I barely used it and kind of forgot about it. While I was away in the countryside with limited connectivity I got a notification that my card was charged for another month. I then got in touch with their CS and that was the exchange.

What really grinds my gears is that I had to pull the EU consumer laws they were breaking to get a refund for the extra month they were charging and even then they act like they did me a one time favorStill keeping my initial month money

Cashgrab company, will stay away

It’s like any subscription period - you have to pay attention to things you sign up for.

My wife did this twice with different services - signed up for the heavily discounted trial and forgot to cancel. She’s a great ‘offer’/‘bargain’ hunter but I still poke at her for losing money on these (never would have done them at full price) anytime she mentions doing trial/similar promo things because of it.

Companies have a lot of deals like this - they fully expect that you’ll forget to cancel, or stick with it when the price hikes. That doesn’t remove the onus on you to keep track of it - if you’re going to play the promotional games like ‘Free month, cancel anytime within but autorenews at ‘x’ afterwards’ don’t try to turn it around on them for playing exactly by the rules stated.

I’m within the 30 day limit and they won’t give me a refund. They tried saying I could only get a refund if I was having “issues” with it, I brought up that their terms of service say that I can request a refund within 30 days if I’m not satisfied. Now they won’t respond again, I think they’re waiting for the 30 days to run out.

Take it up with your bank, you’ll get the funds back
