So to play with my friend on minecraft we typically use Radmin VPN. After year or two of not using it I booted it up and it worked fine, we played MC for the night. I go to use it the next day, and suddenly when turning it on it hangs at “waiting for adapter response”
I tried the top google fixes. Such as uninstalling, disabling windows defender, rebooting, then reinstalling. Messing with registry stuff.], and running as administrator.
Nothing worked, so I moved onto LogmeIn Hamachi. But that does not work either, as I get a “Cannot get adapter config” error. I tried more google fixes such as disabling firewall, and going to the Network and sharing center to change adapter settings. As well as running as administrator
When I went to change adapter settings, all the guides say there should be an adapter with Hamchi in the name. However none of my adapters do. I have two VMware Network Adapters. Which I find odd because I long ago uninstalled VMWare. But just in case it was Hamachi related I tried the google fixes there and no dice.
One more thing I will say is that Installing Radmin/Hamachi takes a weirdly long time. They both hang at one point when setting up network stuff for like, 3-5 minutes, before finishing. Are they somehow not being allowed to make network adapters and thats why it is failing?
EDIT: I forgot to include this. At some point when I was originally trying to fix radmin, during a restart there was a Windows update. I completed and restarted, where it said that the update FAILED and it was undoing it. I forget the exact event that lead me to that, but I know it happened after radmin was already not working. IDK if it is relevant or not
