Live Japanese tv?

I can’t find a sub or any recent posts. Since netflix and hulu cracked down on VPNs last year, getting anything not anime is much harder. Does anyone have any decent links for live Japanese tv?

No anime please. I can already get plenty of that in a million places.

I am looking for public tv type stations 0tv and the like.

try looking at /r/jtv
*edit: a word

Live weather! Their late night stuff with drawings is fun too.

You can use abema.tv to access tons of shows but you need a vpn for that. If you are on an iphone, you can use the app whaleVPN while using the abema app. That’s what I usually use. Hope that helps!

ISakura has really high quality IPTV channels, and a pretty good selection to choose from as well.

Unfortunately it’s pretty costly and licensed to a single device per subscription.

Best that I have seen so far.

Not actually tv shows per say but JCPMHDシ youtube channel puts out all the weird Japanese comercials. Its actually fairly interesting to watch. Heres a link to one of their vids

On mobile at the moment so i cant link you to their channel directly.

It’s not live tv, but this site is pretty good if you want to watch current Japanese tv shows: http://varadoga.blog136.fc2.com/ Most of the links I’ve tried work. A lot of the shows also include the commercials, which I find interesting.

are there any services that also include the closed captioning?

Recently I found a Japanese tv live service called FUJITV live it is good for me so far. I bought a mi box to connect with my TV set in order to watch in a larger screen. Actually I still could watch tv channel on PC with fujitv.live website, but I prefer Bigger screen.

When it comes to installing process, I have much to say. it is not complex. Useful for newbies, though. Just use an USB thumb drive with fujitv.apk and insert it into the USB port on MI box. Then open up Google Play Store first and install an APP called ES File Explore. After installation, choose ES File Explorer to view the files and you will be able to browse content on the drive and install the fujitv.apk. Once the fujitv app was downloaded, it was very smooth with live streaming of channels and easy to navigate.

I live in Germany and have 6-7 time difference, therefore it is necessary to have the playback feature. 7-days playback is good but it would be perfect if it offers 10- days playback. In addition to the playback, HD quality makes it so clear. No delay, no clutter and no stuck in the picture. I plan to use it in the long run.

It’s not live, but the nhk for school site has some of the programming I’m looking for (it’s easier to understand). Maybe some of you would find it useful, too.

This is live in Japan:

Watch Gaki, gaki is life, gaki is love

I watch Abema TV on my iPad.

Where do you get your live anime from? I use abema tv for anime and news, netflix for dramas. Considering getting jp Amazon Prime for movies. Openvpn and softether vpn still work, I know for a fact.

Is it necessary that it’s live? You could just search 無料動画バラエティ.

NHK World has an app. It lags behind live broadcasts by 15-20 seconds.

Thank you! I tried a reddit search but that one didn’t come up.

Came here to suggest iSakura. Excellent service, but would be more useful if you could use it on more than one device. I find it hard to get my money’s worth out of it when the licence is anchored to my PC at home.

Great Japan IPTV service!
