This system has been super underwhelming. I had the original Velop system which worked perfectly. I upgraded to the Atlas because of hardware failure. The disconnects are awful on the Atlas. I will be in conference calls throughout the day and my connection drops every call. I scanned for interference and there is little to no Wi-Fi frequencies near me. I tried manually setting different Wi-Fi channels and still the connection issues are still prevalent. I’ve tried turning on bridge mode, turn off mode and client steering. I’ve tried downgrading and resetting the system but nothing works. I’m pretty lost and was wondering if anyone has issues also?
Edit: Lol there’s a new firmware update. Let’s try it out.
Edit 2: Firmware update didn’t fix the disconnect. I still constantly disconnect and probably will end of selling this.
If the update doesn’t fix it, do factory resets on your nodes
I returned mine. When it worked, it was fast, but the random, unexplained problems became too much. I have a reason for wanting my XB7 to be my router, so I had wireless off there and the Atlas in bridge mode; I thought I’d give it a go with the Atlas as the router and the XB7 in bridge mode, but I decided to go back. The Atlas would not take the change, so I had to reset the nodes, then one of them wouldn’t connect again, etc. I love the Linksys aesthetic, but I tried two of their systems and would rank them at the bottom of the systems I’ve tried.
Does this version have the Apple HomeKit Secure Router feature and did you turn that feature on? If so, turn it off and see if that makes a difference. I was having constant random disconnects and turning that off resolved the issue for me.
I’ve tried that in the past. So far no disconnects, I hope this update fixes this router
I wish I could have returned it and got the orbi. Time will tell if this update fixes it
No this version doesn’t have HomeKit capabilities.
Not any empire. After the previous update, my issue was fixed
