I ordered a B celtic double ding from ravvast.org and even though it was in stock I haven’t heard from them after the automatic e-mail confirmation. It’s been almost two weeks since I ordered the instrument.
I just e-mailed them to confirm the status of my order and I’ll have to see if I get a response next monday.
I would have bought it through Thomann.de but they didn’t carry the double ding model anymore. Of course now they do again…
Anyone else order anything from ravvast.org? I’m just worried because I paid 1100e for the instrument+braid+case and that’s a LOT of money for me.
I was trying to post this on the Rav Vast subreddit but I couldn’t and the last post there was from 7 months ago…?
I’m like 99.99% sure that Ravvast.com is the official website.
Since ravvast is a Russian company it might be under sanctions and not be able to deliver to the USA. Just something to check into.
Having bought multiple Rav’s since the pandemic I can tell you a few things:

They have multiple stores at different domains. Used to be their main store and a backup EU store, then a US store. Now it’s just the two I believe.

They take awhile to ship, this isn’t Amazon where it leaves next day. It takes a few weeks to get to me up in Canada each time. If you’ve got a confirmation email, you can email [email protected] and ask them about it.

They ship pretty solidly packed in custom boxes with custom Styrofoam. I usually get a bag with mine and those are inside the boxes.
If everything came through fine on your card, give it a week or so - if you don’t see a shipping email by then, email them. if nothing after a few days, deal with your bank.
If you really did use a truly debit card (aka money came directly out of your account - I feel for you. Credit cards offer additional protections. Over here, paying with debit online isn’t common because debit is basically cash.)

Yea confirmed that the .org is a reseller, Nadishana
Yeah, I’m not located in USA though, I live in EU. I did get an email on monday saying that they were sorry for the delay and hassle, they are apparently moving from Russia into Serbia and are in the process of starting a new company there. The email said that they would refund me in full and asked me to then pay the sum yo a new account since the one I paid to was now non-operational. The e-mail was signed by Nadishana. I’m still to be refunded though, i’ll just have to see what happens next and when.
Yeah so an update to the situation: I got refunded. The refund came in through paypal a week or so ago.
For some reason the amount was 100€ less than what I paid, as in I paid 1134€ and received 1030€ as a refund. I e-mailed Nadishana about this and he assured me that I would be fully reimbursed. Haven’t heard from him since then.
I’m just happy that I don’t have to stress about this anymore. And yeah I won’t use a debit card for future purchases like this, lesson learned!

Idk if I’m paranoid or rational but I’ve convinced myself that I won’t be getting an instrument and most likely not a refund either. I’ve not received a reply to my inquiries after the e-mail on monday. I’ve been messaging them once a day. I’ll most likely wait a day or 2 for them to respond again but after that I will probably have to contact authorities for help. Bells are ringing in my head, like I’m just being stringed along to elongate the time for me to take action.

You probably paid via credit card I imagine. Sometimes they will refund you in the case of fraud. I’d query them or PayPal or whatever. If you wired money than not too much to be done.
You could always do a credit card charge back or flag it with whatever payment company. I think its fair given you’ve not heard anything in 2wks

Yeah well I used a debit card like a moron. In my country that’s fairly normal. I’ll wait until monday and see if I get a response from them. If not, I’ll have to see what can be done

Well here’s hoping you get a Rav Vast soon. What drew you to the Double Ding? I’ve got a G Pygmy, B Kurd and used to have a D Major
I guess it just sounded the best to me after watching like a 100 videos on youtube. And the idea of being able to play in either B minorish or A majorish appeals to me. Just seemed like a nice option to start learning with.
Second choice would have been the B kurd, I guess it’s quite similar to the double ding.
A friend of mine got the b Celtic double ding and it sounds great, that extra ding makes a huge difference. I hope you get the pan rather than a refund, you’ll love it. It’s on my wish list, but can’t afford one just now.
Nice! Yeah I hope so too. I’m just getting a bit paranoid from still not hearing from the seller, I hope that they get back to me soon and I’ll have my pan on the way. I hope we both get these someday
