I noticed that there’s something wrong with my internet when I can’t connect to reddit using reddit app and also can’t connect to servers to play multiplayer games on PC (FH4) and android (world of warships, tennis clash, etc). Also, cant connect to their own apps. Now I downloaded a free vpn (Turbo) to test if I still can’t connect to multiplayer games on my android, and Lo and behold all the multiplayer games and reddit app works on vpn.
*I have an unliplan.
Hi. I’ve been in the telco industry for 15+ years now. I can say that there is no problem with your physical connection. Telcos would not even consider this as a ‘problem’, this is called Network Traffic management.
This is globe fiber internet? Try to reset the modem and see how it goes.
Had the same issue with Globe at Home prepaid. Unable to use internet for anything else except YouTube. I had to let it go since I think it is no longer reliable.
Hi. We have the same problem. I’m using fiber line unli data. I can’t connect to spotify, shopee, gcash, discord and my games. I can only connect using a vpn.
My nakuha na kayong resolution sa ganitong issue? Yung bahay ng jowa ko ganito ung naeexperience. Di ko mabuksan ung hbogo at gcash pero gumagana ung youtube at fb.
They said its “semi-fiber”. Also, I tried that multiple times already.
Already talked to customer service, but they can’t understand my problem and they want to send technicians to me to check the lines. But im sure that its just something to do with their servers as I can use the apps on my phone just fine.
*I dont want to keep using free vpn (turbovpn) because its not really that safe. Also, I cant afford a monthly vpn subscription.
The remedy Im testing right now for reddit app use, spotify, android multiplayer and basic multiplayer for forza horizon 4 is using vpn. So far reddit, spotify and android games works great on vpn, as for FH4 im getting some poor connection pop ups but playable so far (fh4 does not really need much online, im just finishing some weekly task that requires a little online.). I would not recommend free vpn if you’ll use it for competitive multiplayer, but for basics like redditapp and spotify try ProtonVPN read some threads first before trying.
The globe customer service in the messenger app could not understand what my problem was, so they just insist on sending some technician over (I currently would not risk someone entering my house having seniors here with the current situation.). Maybe try to chat with customer service on messenger (they currently have no hotline though.).
That sucks. were using Globeathome for at least 15 years now with little to no problems and when I “upgraded” my modem (due to suddenly having problems with connection because its a really old globe plan.) Last year I almost always have problems, but not this bad.
I already asked for tech support for nth time but the problem is they’re sending a hardware technician that checks your cabinet, cable and modem. I think we need a system technician not hardware.
It fixed itself after a few weeks. Try mo rin itawag sa globe.
“Di ko mabuksan ung hbogo at gcash”
^ Ano ang lumalabas kapag binuksan mo yung hbogo at gcash?
Did you try to reinstall the LAN driver? Give it a shot and see if works.
I really hope they fix it but yeah im trying vpn for now
Customer service chat cant understand the problem, probably they’re based at home so they cant communicate it well with other customer service representative. Ive told them many times that its not a hardware problem, but a system problem. Even the net where I work have the exact same problem.
While annoying ill hold out a bit with vpn since I have seniors with me and I don’t want to risk them with a hardware tech coming in with me knowing that what I need is someone to fix the system. I hope they fix this as apparently there are others who have the same problem. Thank god though that Netflix and youtube works fine as those are my main uses, it sucks though when gaming with vpn as its a bit slow.
I’ll try it later, but I doubt its necessary. I just got in the office using globebusiness internet connection and it has the same problem, (ex. Reddit app doesn’t work w/o vpn and works perfectly fine on vpn. Same with multiplayer games). I’m now convinced globe is somehow limiting users to basic internet, Even HBOgo and plex has a hard time connecting to their servers. The customer service said they want to bring technicians over, but due to the pandemic I can’t risk the seniors im with at home.
do you have problems with both phones and laptop/pc? I only experience mine on phones.
My cousin’s place is using Globe internet and it works perfectly
Both.
For phones, I can’t use apps like reddit, shopee, lazada, spotify, globe one app, globeathome app and multiplayer games without vpn.
For PC, I only tried it on one multiplayer game (Forza Horizon 4) needs a vpn to connect online. While steam runs perfectly well. Haven’t tried spotify though.
