Is a VPN connectivity required for Duel Masters Play?

I am having this problem with or without a VPN connection, I am choosing a Japanese server in the VPN option but the issue still persists.

Please let me know what VPN connection do I need to use? I am using Psiphone which is not working.

I believe it’s saying that there is a connection/communication error and to try again from somewhere with a better connection

It doesn’t require a vpn.

If its thinking its a data/wifi issue, you’ll have to swap.

I think it have something to do with my ISP which is blocking the connection, I switch to a paid VPN and now it works smoothly. Thank you for responding.
