Instructions on how to get kindle book as early as the Australian release

  1. If you don’t want to change the store temporarily to Australia, you can get the sample with 3 chapters. Just read the sample in a browser once it’s available House of Flame and Shadow: The INTERNATIONAL BESTSELLER and the smouldering third book in the Crescent City series, from the creator of ACOTAR eBook : Maas, Sarah J.: Amazon.com.au: Books

  2. If you want to get the Kindle book as early as possible (12AM Jan 30 Australia ~ 8AM Jan 29 US), do this:

  • enable Australian VPN (e.g. NordVPN free trial)
  • log onto your true Amazon that you use
  • open Content and Devices in Account menu
  • open Preferences tab
  • change region to Australia (VPN is a must, IP must be Australian)
  • enter a random Australian address and phone number
  • prompt appears, confirm moving your Kindle library over to Australia
  • log onto Australian Amazon
  • don’t switch back until you’ve downloaded the book (same steps but reversed)

It takes 5 minutes, I’ve always switched to Australia if I wanted a book early.

Well just tried this and it kicked my family members off of my account. We can rejoin for 180 days. :frowning:

I didn’t get a prompt to move my library over, but I was able to switch the account location. :thinking: Do you think it will still work?

I love how I’m not the only one on here refreshing Amazon.com.au

I’m not purchasing an Amazon one but just waiting for the sample to drop. It still hasn’t. But maybe Amazon has gotten wise to our shenanigans lol
