I am poor as dirt. And am currently using Avast. But I want a second one (or just a free VPN) eitheir will do. thanks if so

More…

And if you like Avast continue to use it.

There are some free VPNs but usually if they are free they are low quality or even spy on you. Do you even need a VPN? If yes, try Proton VPN free (its one of the most popular free VPNs) .

Malwarebytes is a good second one because it is great at malware removal even if having a few other flaw. To OP, Avast actually gets a pretty good score from PC magazine that reviewed 3rd party tests. It gets a 9.6. Free Bit Defender or Kaspersky gets the top score of 9.9. Avast a definite step up from Windows Defender that is not terrible.

It has false positives but uses less resources of your computer and having false positives is better than having a virus
