I can't reinstall Hotspot Shield on Windows

I uninstalled Hotspot Shield from my Windows computer. Now when I try to reinstall Hotspot Shield, the installer asks me if I want to uninstall Hotspot Shield (even though I already uninstalled it). This message shows up every time and it’s preventing me from installing Hotspot Shield back onto my PC.

Yes. So, each program you install on your computer gets saved into a file folder (or multiple folders) on your computer. These folders are usually:

C:\Program Files

C:\Program Files (x86)

Or

C:\ProgramData

Look for folders called “Hotspot” or “HotspotShield”. These are the folders that contain the data for the program. Delete those folders and their contents and this should allow Hotspot Shield to reintall.

Double-check that these files are just for Hotspot Shield to make sure you aren’t deleting anything important.
