Every single site that uses CloudFlare has completely locked me out
I get this message and an endless looping cycle
"Checking if the site connection is secure
users.nexusmods.com needs to review the security of your connection before proceeding. "
It never goes beyond this message and I never asked to complete a capture.
My computer is clean, it has no virus or malware, I’ve done endless scans, cleaned all cookies, I have no apps on my browsers, I’m locked out of everything! I can’t even access the CloudFlare Community site to ask for help.
Please any help would be greatly appreciated.
I had this exact problem and solved it in the last 10 minutes or so, so hoping I get you on the right path too.
Full disclosure I tried VPN on/off, turning off all extensions, different browsers, etc. Nothing was working. While I had the Cloudflare portal recycling this same page over and over with no progress I started digging into my anti-tracking software (might be built into antivirus or firewall, or a standalone anti-track software.)
I use Avast Anti-Track. I opened the software and saw an option for “Allowed Websites” and it had a 0 on it. There was a section to type in a network I wanted to add as a trusted site and I entered users.nexusmods.com (I assume you can enter whatever address you need to here.) Upon entering it as a trusted network, in the Chrome window I watched the page suddenly load the login screen, and I was able to successfully login. Tried again on Edge and got right in. This seems to have fixed me , I hope it fixes you too!
Yeah… same here
Apparently Cloudfare changed their “Solve this Captcha” to “checking your connection”
It’s not just nexus mods, I just used that as an example
I used to use Avira Phantom VPN to access websites secured by CloudFlare
This isn’t a solve for the core problem, but might fix things temporarily
Privacy Pass is a plugin to help validate users an bypass captchas and other checks. Just to see if it works, you might try it.
Chrome: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/privacy-pass/ajhmfdgkijocedmfjonnpjfojldioehi?hl=en
Firefox: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/privacy-pass/
Install, click the plugin, complete the challenge, try and go to a site or community and ask there if it works.
Are you using a vpn or proxy?
Anyone found any solution?
I have to use WARP to access a lot of sites as they are blocked in my country. Sometimes a few sites which use cloudflare start doing this in an endless loop displaying this same message.
I have IObit Surfing Protection and when I turned that off it let me in.
Download the Brave browser and open the website you need to open with Brave. Problem solved.
I was having the same problem and i found out it was because my date and time where wrong on computer. once i turned it back to automatic the cloudfare worked.
i’m having the same problem. on multiple sites. not using a vpn, still happens when antivirus is off. i don’t have any extensions that could be affecting it.
No need to make it difficult people…just download and use the “Brave” browser.
OMG I have been stuggling with this exact problem for so long! This is exactly the problem. Idk how I’ve missed this comment in all my searching, but the google algorithm worked for me today! Thank you!
I tried this, it’s not working
Thank you! It’s not that I and I’m convinced a lot of others here lack the technical knowledge, but it’s about kind and capable people who can also find a solution but also have the desire and energy to come here and share it with the rest of us impatient people. Thank you once again for making us all have a nicer web.
THANK YOU!!! this has been driving me insane for way too long.
I know this is an old post and reply, but this method works for me too! I suspected it’d be my anti-virus app that made it so, but I wasn’t sure which extension, so thank you.
I have the same problem, but it started AFTER I’d ‘allowed’ the page in Avast Anti-track. I’ll go and tinker with it again.
…just subtracted and re-added the same site…no dice.
What a life saver!! Thx a million!!!
